WCS students recently showcased their talents at the 2016 SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference.
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. It is a national organization that serves high school and college students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations.

- Third Place in Technical Drafting – Austin Brodivitz

- 1st Place in Advertising and Design – Samantha Faber
- 1st Place in Video Production – Tyler Parrish and Peter Newsom
- 1st place for most student medals for division 3
- 2nd place in Broadcast News Production – Jakob Serban, Jared Wardlaw, Anna Glenn Grove and Connor Wood
