The Nolensville High School theater department traveled to Maryville, Tennessee, at the end of October to perform its one-act play, Medea, at the Tennessee Theatre Association conference.
The cast’s performance made an impression, because it won second place in the One-Act Play Competition and several of the actors won awards as well. Cat Just won the Best Actress Award, and both Antonio Ahanj and Maggie Fedducia won All-Star Cast.
The students will be able to represent Tennessee at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in March of 2018.
“This is unheard of for a school our size and in a time of growing,” said NHS theater director Laura Lindsey. “I am so proud of these students for presenting their best work at the state conference.”
